Idiot Palin Strikes Again

With the election growing closer and closer I feel that it is important to point out some additional things that irk me about Sarah Palin.

“We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans. Those who are running our factories and teaching our kids and growing our food and are fighting our wars for us. Those who are protecting us in uniform. Those who are protecting the virtues of freedom.”

OK now that is all well and good, go small town America! Here is a news flash for everyone, Washington DC the epicenter of American pride is in Palin’s eyes neither Pro-American or “real America”. This comment she has made is pretty much saying that the big cities are not the “real America” as she likes to call it. So does this mean if you are a solider from a big city like lets say, New York you do not count because you are not from the “real America”? Does this mean the Osama Bin Laden bombed fake America when he attacked New York, PA and Washington? If so, wow he must be pretty pissed, huh!?

Now if this was not bad enough, last night McCain’s senior adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer, a“proud resident of Oakton, Virginia,” stated “…But the rest of the state, real Virginia, if you will, I think will be very responsive to Senator McCain’s message.” REAL VIRGINIA!??! What is it with these people and categorizing the country into real and fake lands? There are two Virginia’s West and the other one, that’s it! After making that comment the host of the show she was on then asked if she wanted to retract the comment, prompting her to reply, “I mean ‘real Virginia’ because Northern Virginia is where I’ve always been, but ‘real Virginia’ I take to be the — this part of the state that is more Southern in nature, if you will. Northern Virginia is really metro D.C.” What an idiot.

If you are registered to vote, do not forget to vote on November 4 and if you are not registered then thats a big SHAME ON YOU!!!

18 days and counting…

So recently there have been somethings that have been seriously irking me about the current election campaign.

#1: During the debate the other night if they mentioned “Joe the Plumber” one more time, I was going to freak out. Then the pathetic news outlets who proceeded to do nothing for the next day it seemed but cover the story of “Joe the Plumber.” They even went as far as to broadcast from outside his house? Why was it necessary for them to do that? No one cares about him? Then the extremely desperate for a story outlets start turning on the poor guy stating how he does not have a license, he has back taxes, hes a single father.Like really? Why not just leave it alone.

#2: This is also from the debate. When McCain stated, “…If you wanted to run against Bush you should have run four years ago…” HEY DOUCHE BAG, you are republican and so is Bush. It is not that Obama is claiming he is “running against Bush” he is running against what the both of you stand for and the hella mess that the republican party, Bush administration has created over the last eight years.

#3: When the candidates were campaigning in Ohio, all of those lovely redneck mid-west Jesus freaks came out of the wood works to support their favorite candidate. Now before I go any further let me just state that people out in the mid-west take religion to a whole new plateau, they are WEIRD. You do not believe me then go rent the movie Jesus Camp. So anyways, there were some real messed up comments made regarding Obama’s middle name. OK who cares what his middle name is. What if McCain’s middle name was Hitler? I mean, come on stop being so petty.

#4: Some idiot in the above linked video, says the Obama is related to a known terrorist. Yo, DUMBASS, they are not related. It is someone that he knew over ten years ago. I think it is time people let this William Ayers stuff go. If Obama was honestly a real terrorist, I do not think he would have made it as far as he has in this country. I think it is pretty sad that after all this time this country is still so racist and desperate that they would defame someone with such hurtful and bullshit comments. Not to mention that now since Obama has taken the lead, McCain has changed his tone a bit. When he was speaking with an older woman and she started to voice her opinion on Obama being “an Arab..that couldn’t be trusted” McCain stood up for his opponent. This is how it all went down:

“He is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States. If I didn’t think I would be one heck of a better president I wouldn’t be running.

“Older Woman: “I have read about him. He’s an Arab”.

“No, ma’am. No, ma’am. He’s a decent, family man, citizen that I just happen to have  disagreements with on fundamental issues and that’s what this campaign is all about.”

Now, who ever you like, Obama or McCain, that is your business. Just remember that there are 18 days till November 4! So do your research and make a wise decision.

So we are finally all moved into our adorable new house and I am so excited. For some reason it took a week and half to get the dern internet hooked up. You can probably only imagine how painful life has been with no internet. Have no fear, I am back in action.

Now that my internet is hooked up keep checking back for new blog posts.

Venting.

So before I even go on with this post that will be me just venting my feelings on some certain situations that have recently come up I would like to go on the record by saying I am about 95% sure this is going to start WW3 and I really do not care. So with that out of the way….here we go!

So lucky for me I had a somewhat normal 21st birthday which is more than I can say for two of my best friends. Both of their birthdays ended in arrests that are now leading to court proceedings, but the parties involved are taking it a little too far.

Lets call the first birthday “July” for “talking shit purposes”. July would have had a lot better luck having the police working with them had they not taking extreme steps as a 14 page letter that was sent out to the whole OBX. Now I am not knocking the letter because it pretty much states a lot of what people want to say but do not have the balls to say. Inevitably it pissed the police off to the point that they do not want to work with July’s family anymore. People are being subpoenaed to court to testify as to what they saw go down that night. That’s all well and good BUT everyone was wasted and so their statements are null and void.

Before I go on much further with July lets go to birthday number two that we will reference as “August”. August is having the same exact problem. Trying to get people to testify as to what they saw go down that night. I for one was standing right in front of the fight that took place that night and I know what I saw but I would never embarrass myself by getting up on the stand and testifying as to what I saw because I was wasted. When someone is drunk and then proceeds to “swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth” then they are not telling the truth. You can not swear that in your drunken state of mind that this or that is what really happened. Alcohol distorts your ability to remember and to know right from wrong.

Both July and August are trying to get people to swear to things that would put them in contempt of court. Both parties do not realize that just because you get someone to come and say that they heard someone say something does not mean that’s all they have to do. Yeah they will testify so and so said this or that but then when cross examination comes around and they get torn a new asshole and everything they said trying to defend you gets distorted and turned around, their testimony may actually end up hurting you in the end. I just wish people would #1, think about what they are doing and the position they are putting people in and #2, think about how much alcohol was consumed and how distorted every ones mind is of the actual chain of events that took place on those two nights.

Now this goes to the people that are being threatened for choosing not to want to make a statement. I just want you to remember that you do not HAVE to say or do anything. If you are unsure of what you saw or heard or did that night you are better off keeping your mouth shut rather than incriminating yourself but swearing under oath that one thing or two things happened when quite possibly they really did no. And now this goes to August because one smartass/sarcastic comment is being blown out of proportion and one girl is being threatened to put her family’s job of the seafood slangin’ and tradin’ business on the line. What was said was in a smartass/sarcastic comment stating that yeah that’s why these people showed up, when we all know it was not. They did not even know that we would be at that place that night. They had their own plans and their own friends they were meeting up there and for people to think that all of this is really all about them is wrong and it is wrong to try and make someone swear that something is what you want it to be.

I am not talking shit. I am not putting anyone down. I am just trying to say that when as much alcohol is involved in a situation no one is really in the right to swear under oath that they saw this or that and even if they attempted to, in the end the cross examination would end up hurting you more than helping you. I understand why the parties involved are taking this so serious. July could potentially lose its job and August could lose their potential to pursue a career in the field of criminal justice. I get it, the rest of your life is potentially on the line but since it is both of yall’s first offense in the criminal world the cops and court systems are normally very eager to work with you but when you complicate things and make it more difficult they are not going to want to help you. So take this venting blog as you would like it, I really do not mind but I know that I was not be vicious or rude I was just saying it how it is.

BC = Abortion, WHAT!?!

Ok, every time Sarah Palin opens her mouth I want to insert a gun and pull the trigger. She is so obnoxious and ignorant and not to mention that voice. Oh my gosh, her accent is horrid. She is a woman who is anti-woman. And now her fellow Republicans are stating that birth control is now a form of abortion. WHAT!?!

The Times states, “The Bush administration wants to require all recipients of aid under federal health programs to certify that they will not refuse to hire nurses and other providers who object to abortion and even certain types of birth control.” Now if you do not understand what this is saying let me break it down to layman’s terms for you. Pretty much, an inner city women’s clinic employee who refuses to talk to patients about birth control? Can not be touched. A hospital pharmacist who refuses to fill prescriptions for birth control? Can not be fired or disciplined. And A doctor who refuses to give emergency contraception to a rape victim for “religious reasons”?  Is to be given a promotion????

I am sorry but if people did not take birth control this country would be just as over populated as China. Not to mention that since times have changed and girls are choosing to have sex at younger and younger ages, shouldn’t we condone birth control rather than having 14 year old girls running around knocked up. I do not support young girls going out and sleeping around with whomever they please but if that is what they choose to do, they should have the right to protect themselves from pregnancy by using birth control. What about women who have no insurance and are low-income? What are they supposed to do when it comes to protecting themselves?? If this proposal went through, contraceptives would be harder to get. Could you imagine? Instead of selling drugs on the street corner we will have people selling birth control. That may sound crazy but that’s where this is headed.

Now I am just waiting for the smart ass remarks about me being pregnant and that I should have invested in some birth control which by the way I was on, but when you take anti-biotics they tend to cancel that out so those comments can go somewhere before they even start.

Birth control is not abortion. Abortion is abortion. And I do not feel that a women has the right to try and take away another women’s choice. Everyone should have the right to choose, but people should choose in moderation. I mean if you are not financially, mentally or your relationship is not stable you probably should not bring a kid into the world just to have it suffer. Also, if you are a girl who has been raped and you request the morning after pill and you are told that is abortion. I’m sorry if I was raped I would not want a child that would be a constant reminder of that horrible incident. NOW THESE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS, AND THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS BLOG IS ABOUT SO DO NOT COMMENT ME YOUR OPINIONS ON ABORTION.

OK I know everyone is dying for a baby update, so here we go….

Now that I do not feel like death every single day things are getting better. I am not taking any chances and still taking a nausea pill when I wake up every morning just for a precaution. To answer all your weird questions I have had lately, no I do not have any crazy cravings (it’s too early), no I have not gained any weight (thank god!), yes my face looks like it got attacked by BACK’neeee and yes my boobs are killing me and they are about they only thing that has been growing and I beg of them to STOP!!!! Other than my few ailments, I am doing OK. My next doctors appointment is on October 4, so at that time I will be sure to post again and fill you in.

Me and The D.O.G.

So now that I am just sitting at the house during the day, Keller and I have gotten a routine down of things we do and things we watch. Everyday at 10 am they have this show on Animal Planet called Growing Up, it’s one of my favorites and for the past couple of days they have had wolfs and big cats and such and my blind dog is crackin me up.

He stands in front of the TV and shakes his head back in forth and barks and crys at the TV when the little pups are crying and barking. It is so so funny. Even the commercials with barking or animal noises seem to be grabbing his attention. He’s so funny cause he’s blind and he is seriously freaking out on the TV. He really cries and gets all worked up. Free Entertainment

And yes, by this blog you can obvously tell I now have no life.
