OBX Police Drama.

•September 8, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Ok so let me back up to July 1, 2008. It was best friend Stephanie’s 21st birthday and sadly I was not in town to celebrate with all my friends. What was suppose to be a fun night turned into a night from hell when the infamous KDHPD got called to Port o Call for an argument that occurred between Stephanie’s cousin’s boyfriend and a local boy that was easily taken care of without the help of the wanna be NYPD showing up. After all this drama Stephanie’s mom got in a tiff with the bouncer which sparked a whole chain of events of unnecessary brutality by the one and only KDHPD. To make a long story short they pepper sprayed and pushed to the ground thus ruining the dress Stephanie’s mom was wearing, accused her dad of assaulting an officer (when he had been inside the whole time and just came out to ask what was going on), tazed Stephanie’s husband who was on the other side of the parking lot and arrested her cousin Melissa.

Now I tell you this because I stumbled across a few websites here on the wonderful world wide web who for some reason taken all four of Stephanie’s family members mug shots and decided to talk shit and write horrible things about that night and about them. Of course when my loud mouth found this websites I also had to leave my own little something something. Now I am not saying the Stephanie’s family is not in the wrong, because her mom wrote a 14 page letter to pretty much the whole Outer Banks that was probably uncalled for but it stated what everyone down here wants to say. The KDH police are by far the most hated people on this beach because they are infamous for trying to act like they are the NYPD. They taze when it is not called for, they use unnecessary force and for a fact I know of several complaints that have been filed against the KDHPD just this year alone (and for those who think I am making it up, when I was a paralegal, trust me I saw the unnecessary force used on multiple obxicans).

Pretty much, I am pissed at the creators of these websites.I am not knocking their freedom of speech but they are being so cruel and the thing that pisses me off the most is that the majority of people commenting on this forum are dumb tourist who think they know what they are talking about and they do not. My guess is, that the creator of these websites are probably the pathetic wives of the pathetic cops involved because as soon as I blasted the Police they all jumped down my throat. And by far the funniest thing is that someone looked up my I.P. address and stated that I am obviously not local because of the location they received. Hey, DUMBASS your I.P. address does not give you the EXACT location unless you have a service that you pay for which will tell you right down to the house the computer is in and obviously they did not have it and someone in that forum stook up for me before I could and pointed this out to that lovely little idiot. Then someone told me that I was a dumbass for writing in defense of my friends family because they build “big, gawdy houses….that ruin our paradise.” Are they big and gawdy because their cheap ass can not afford to even step foot in them or are they big and gawdy because they are jealous they can not make the money off the houses?? Seems like that persons idiocracy is what is ruining this beaches paradise. I just hate stupid people, I really really do.

I am not defending either side of this argument, I am simply pointing out that people who have absolutely nothing to do with the situation are saying cruel and hurtful things about complete strangers. They are picking apart a mugshot, which is pretty pathetic. They say because the person in the picture is smiling that what that person claims happened that night can not be true. That’s bullshit, because once again when I was working as a paralegal, I know that a mugshot does not define the events leading up to that picture being taken. If you were not there to witness the ordeal or you are not friends with the people involved to know first hand what happened you probably should not be running your mouth. I am just sick and tired of people on this beach sticking their noses where they do not belong, but whatever. I just had to vent about these websites. Below of the links if you would like to check them out, even though the information provided in them are about 70% false its still a good read if you like to  laugh at people patheticness. :)

Click Hereto read the “news article” from OBXALERT which states a lot of untrue facts but is still a good read.

Click Here to read the cruel forum picking apart a mugshot which just shows how bored and pathetic people really are.

If you have a rude or pathetic ass comment to leave, then please keep your opinons to yourself this is not an open forum for you to discuss.

BIG NEWS!

Well I was going to wait till I had made my blog the cutest thing this side of the Mississippi BUT I must be a complete nimrod because I can not figure out how to do what I want to do with it and so for now I will continue to be using WordPress ill I figure out how to use blogger and make it HOTT! Haha, yes I admit I obviously have no life if I am this concerned over a dumb blog.

Well me and Quinn will be moving soon!!! YAY! Off to Colington we go. I was so stoked and really wanted to get this house on the same court as my bestest friend Stephanie but some jackass put in an offer before we did, and so I hope they die. I’m kidding of course…..or am I!! Haha. So we are going to get this house inside the Harbour. Its a real cute beach box without the bottom closed in so that’s cool, we can do our own renovations later on down the road!!! Now all I have to do is pick out paint colors and furniture and figure out away to mask the Green carpet in this house. Green carpet, that’s right. I mean, it’s not THAT bad but for now I will have to deal till we can replace it. Target has got some cute ass area rugs that I will def be purchasing.I can not wait!!!!

Ok so let me just spit out the real reason for the blog instead of going around in circles. The reason for the new house is for our new addition. I am sure if you are reading this then you probably already know courtesy of the OBX Gossip Mill BUT Yes, that’s right.I am having a child. I dare you talk shit, seriously. I maybe prego but if I hear someone talking shit I will smack the white off your ass bitch. ;)  No one better run their mouth or have the audacity to say something. I have been on my own paying alllllllll my own bills for three years, me and Quinn have been together for over two years, and we are def mature enough and stable enough to bring a child into this world which is more than I can say for most people on this beach. My next doctors appointment is in September so hopefully I will have more information to fill you in on and then around Halloween we will be finding out the sex (PLEASE A GIRL PLEASE). HAHAH! Projected to be due in late April which is cool because Liz’s son Kane will be one on April 21 so maybe they will be close is birthdays!!! hahaha. I am really stoked about my new life and my new house.

Although I am not sure how much longer I will be writing in my blog because my personal opinions are striking controversy around every corner and I am pretty much tired of being scrutinized for my writings but you can continue to check back and see if it is here or not, have not decided whether or not to hit the delete button.

Congratulations.

Ok so yes I am that ghetto that I steal my Internet from my neighbors, thus that explains the lack of entries lately. I finally got some signal and decided to give a howdy doody to my Internet friends. I have been so busy lately, you just don’t even know. I feel like I never have a day off. Thankfully though I had off this past weekend to help my friend Ashley celebrate her 21st birthday. Wow, what an experience.

Saturday night we went out to Port o’ Call and Chillis at midnight and on Sunday, her actual birthday, she had a nice little cook out shin dig at her parents house and then we proceeded to hit the bars up later. Well as we were drinking at her parents it dawned us that it was sunday and thus it was Rock and Bowl night so we got real stoked and headed there after Lucky 12. Let me just say that I have never been to Rock and Bowl and I had a BLAST. It was a giant Manteo High School reunion but it was OK because it was only people that I wanted to see.

But if I’m writing about it, then we call all conclude that it probably was bir all peaches-n-cream that night. At Lucky 12 my friend John and his fiance Maddy were there with some friends, we casually chatted and I said my goodbyes as I went out to get my car and bring it around front so everyone could get in but as I rounded the side of the building to reach the front all I see is a mobb of people being shoved out the door. Apparently some of the people I was with had beef with John and Maddy. Thinking it was all over and done with, we headed to the Bowling Alley. After being there for 20-30 min. in walks John and Maddy with their friends. Ok, whatever. They were at the other end of the place but every time they came anywhere near the people I was with my people proceeded to keep egging it on and talking shit. (Now when I say “my people” it is only for the purpose of the story, they really are not my people). You see, John’s fiance is the manager of a local surf shop and a girl that was with us for Ashley’s birthday apparently stole about $700 worth of stuff and for her jobs sake Maddy had to prosecute. To make an exteremly long story short a huge fight broke out and of course the wonderful cop force of the OBX show up and arrest people. My loud ass mouth almost got in trouble to for my infamous “Fuck the Police” remark. (Big shout out to Nags Head P.D…..I mean the wanna be NYPD). Opps, my bad. Haha ;) . Well anyways everyone I was with got kicked out except for those of us that mingled and hid into the crowds so we didn’t have to leave. It was a fun night but I must say that I was terribly embarrassed to be seen with the people involved or to claim that I knew them the rest of the night.

I tell you that story to tell you this. If you so choose to steal, do it a little less obviously. Do not take things from your work and then wear it to work where they will realize that you didn’t buy it and how are you wearing it. Overall it was quite an experience I so choose not to go through again.

NY TV.

So we have DirectTv and our “local” (ABC,CBS,NBC…) channels in HD are based out of New York and so we always have all the ads for New York’s stuff so some of it is pretty entertaing. The local commericals that are so low budget and trying to be cool are so funny and It seems that every single day somebody is shot in New York. This morning apparently a child was playing outside his house and got shot by the NYPD. Too much crime and drama in that place for me. But thats not the reason I am writing this, This morning as I was just watching Regis and Kelly in HD I saw an ad for “NY Quits” which is this quit smoking campaign for the state of New York. They provide a 1-800 number for people to call to see if they qualify for free nicotine patches and a whole kit to quit smoking. I think that is a pretty cool campaign. I mean, now if you live in New York you really have no reason to quit smoking. More states should do that because some people seriously get addicted to smoking.

I just don’t get it though. I don’t think cigarettes are addicting, but then again I rarely smoke, it’s just more of a drunk thing ;)

Uh-oh look who’s 21!!!

So wow its been a hot minute since I have last written but I have my reasons of course. Last Sunday, July 27, was my birthday. Oh yeah, the big two-one. Not that it really made a difference, turing 21. I have been going to the bars down here since I was in high school and I can buy beer at every gas station without being carded so the whole turning 21 thing was not THAT exciting.

Me and the ladies laid out at Stephanie’s house all day and then parted ways to get pretty with intention of meeting at my house at 7 but right as I was waiting on everyone to get here a limo pulls up to take us all out courtesy of my sister. It was nice :) . Any who, went to Ocean Blvd. first, of course. I had a nice tini and some yummy cake. It was so much fun, the whole restaurant was singing to me when they lit the candles and brought my cake out. From there we took my parents home who came out with me for one drink and then headed to Lucky 12 which was a fun time. Now you have to understand that for some odd reason the whole Outer Banks was completely dead on my birthday so every bar really was just a “fun time” cause no one was out. By the time we got to chilli’s I was feeling mighty nice and thought it would be bad ass to order a Tangerine Dream (the bartender’s, Carter, signature drink for me) and right as I was enjoying that the boys from my work came out. This kid ordered me some blue shot that I have no decided was “the straw that broke the camels back.” I could not even finish that shot it was so gross and that right there is pretty much the last thing I remember and then Quinn said he found me outside, beside Chilli peppers on the ground!!!! Which we would be fine minus the fact that I was wearing white jeans (which by the way were later washed with no luck of getting grass stains out, so if anyone knows some strange method of getting grass stains out of white pants, let me know). So he put me in the limo and we headed home but Stephanie’s husband, Matt, was already in the limo passed out drunk and I have now been told that the two of us passed out foot-to-head and I have seen these pictures and let me let you know that two drunk people passed out on top of each other is really funny (will post later when I get them off Stephanie’s camera).

Apparently, I told everyone at Chilli Pepper’s to come to my house and text pretty much my whole phone because by the time we got from Chilli Peppers to our house which is pretty much across the street, people just started flocking to our house. Meanwhile, I am passed out in my bedroom trying to throw up and i NEVER did and all of a sudden after 30 minutes being out of commission, I sat up and was ready to go for round 2. When I came out of my bedroom into the living room there were like 20 people in my tini ass house, and I could not tell you who was even there. For the last week I have randomly run into people all over the beach who said that they were at some point in time on my birthday at my house…..so if you were there sorry I don’t remember. HAHA!

Overall it was a very long but very fun 21st birthday. I still have not gone to the liquor store yet so I guess I may want to get on that. To check out pictures from the big day, click here  :)

Why so serious?

So Monday Quinker and I played hookie and went to Virginia. We went up to MacArthur Mall because he had never been there and had lunch at Johnny Rockets but I was kind of disappointed because they normally sing and dance in there while you are eating and they didn’t do it, boo for them ;) . We went up there to go drop off my bling at the jewelers so it can get sized, I am so stoked I get to pick it up on Friday…..hopefully. Originally I wanted to head over to the Virginia Beach Marine Science Museum so we could catch The Dark Knight at the IMAX theatre but you can’t pre-order your tickets for IMAX so if we had driven all the way there and it had been sold out it would have been a waste of time so we just decided to go see it in regular theatres.

After dropping ridiculous amounts of money on tickets, sodas, hot dog, pop-corn and of course candy for my fatass we finally settled in to the theatre! I am telling you that this movie is one of the best movies….EVER! I am not just saying it’s the best comic book movie, but it is a good movie across all genres of film. Christian Bale is super hott and Heath Ledger gives an amazing portrayal of the Joker and quite frankly if the rumors of him being so disturbed by his roll is what drove him to his unfortunate death, I can see why. Not to mention the introduction of Two-Face, which Aaron Eckhart was absolutely perfect for the role and I hope in the next installment they keep him as Two-Face. Also, in the last installment Katie Holmes played Rachel and for this movie they have one of my favorites Maggie Gyllenhaal playing Rachel and she is perfect, they need to bring her back too! The special effects are off the hook and I kind of wish I would have gone to see it in IMAX just for the special effects. One of the coolest parts is when they completely flip over an eighteen wheeler, its sick. The movie is ridiculously long (2.5 hours) but totally worth it, so if you are one of the losers that have not seen this movie I highly suggest you get your little (or big) booty to your nearest theatre and catch The Dark Knight.
